Other Internet Radio Stations

Consider this the "miscellaneous" category. Nothing wrong with being included in this list. It's just hard to categorize a site that archives old radio shows, or includes niche topics like RPG or Science Fiction games.

http://www.archive.org/audio
The Internet Archive's live music archive. These are free live concerts from over one thousand bands. Also see their Open Source Audio, which is a collection of free music (both downloads and streaming media are available). This isn't really a free Internet radio station, as you have to listen to the songs one by one. But free MP3 downloads allow you to build a pretty impressive (and legal) collection.

http://kcrw.com
Public radio from Santa Monica, California.

http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/services/thecurrent
Minnesota Public Radio.

http://radiolovers.com
Archived radio shows from mid-1900 America. While it's fun to hear actors like Vincent Price as "The Saint", there is some really odd stuff in there. (And I mean "odd" in a good way.)

http://www.darkdungeons.net
"Role Playing Games, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi Adventures. Let's Talk Gamin'."

http://www.gamingfm.com
Video gaming nostalgia: From Commodore 64 tunes to the original Nintendo, through modern arcade and PC games, you'll find the music here.

http://www.radio-locator.com - "The most comprehensive radio station search engine on the Internet", Radio-Locator has an easily-browseable archive of Internet and non-Internet radio stations. Use the "find Internet streaming radio" dropdown list to find online providers.

Seeing Ear Theather is an online performance group. Find presentations of works by authors like Neil Gaiman and J. Michael Straczynski, and performances by people like Steve Buscemi and Bebe Neuwirth.
