Play a music CD in a car DVD player
Question:
I was successful in converting from Cassette to my computer then I exported as .wav. I wanted to create a CD that would play in my car DVD player and was told that I need to convert to .dca but is your free Audacity download able to do this conversion? I want to transfer my music from my cassettes to a CD where that CD will pay in my vehicle player. Any thoughts or advice on this topic.
Answer:
I’m wondering what resource told you you’d need to convert to a DCA file in order to create a CD for your car DVD player. That should not be the case, and a DCA file has never been used in my experience with creating a music CD. Additionally, many DVD players are CD-compatible - they can play music CDs as well as DVD movies.
If you’re using Audacity, you should be able to export your sound file as a WAV file or an MP3 file. Most CD creation software can take either types of file and use them to create a music CD.
