Viewer problems with JVC GRD40EX

I was wondering if you an advise as to the problem with the above.
The viewer screen does not show any visual when trying to record.
Answer:
There is a setting on many video cameras that allows you to simply turn off the display when recording. It’s a battery saver. Check your instruction manual to see if this is the case with your camera. If it’s not:
This problem sounds like a probable hardware issue, and is not generally something I can troubleshoot over my website. I’d recommend contacting the manufacturer (JVC) – see if the device can be repaired under warranty, or see what the cost would be to fix it.
