I have oldies on tapes and LPs  that I would like to convert to CD or better still MP3s.  I have a MAC with iTunes.  Will this software work on a MAC ?  If not what will?

How to convert WAV files to MP3 files

Question:

I downloaded the Audacity software so that I could copy my cassette music to cd’s. I got the cord, plugged them in and viola, sent 20 min. (one cassette side) to my desktop and Windows Media Player. Question:I have a laptop with only USB connections. I have a sound card and a burner but I can’t make the connection using any of the instructions I’ve read about.

Cassette to Audacity recording problem with heavy static

Question:I tried to convert audio cassette tape to these formats by following your instructions, using the free Audacity software and a 3.5mm male-male stereo audio cable. But when I record a song I get terrible static that is louder than the music.

Reel-to-reel tape to MP3 conversion

Question:

My husband has a reel-to-reel tape machine and would like to convert some of these old recordings to the new digital format. Any suggestions? I know Ion Audio has the device(s) to convert LPs to cd/mp3. Any such user friendly [conversion advice] for reel-to-reels and cassettes tapes?
