Question:
i have a query regarding the cassette to PC conversion. I am using a laptop,i’m not technical enough to know about soundcards etc as described in the instructions about how to set the whole thing up. My laptop has 2 small sockets at the rear,both are small and the same size,one has a pic of a microphone and the other is a pic of headphones. Can the process still be done usingĀ Audacity?

I have 2 tape decks with two tapes. On each deck I feed the one Left output and the other Right output to my PC linein sound card. Using Audacity editor, I split the converted output to a left and right track and duplicate each track. I was expecting a stereo output from each of the duplicated track but I got only a mono output.
