Verizon Wireless is upgrading to 4G!

For those with cellphones… for those with computers… for those who use computer and cellphones to communicate on Verizon’s network, you’ll be very interested in this press release: Verizon is cranking network access speeds in certain areas to 4G. Some technical detail is below, but the short story is this: “The speeds are significantly faster than Verizon Wireless and other wireless providers’ current or promised 3G network speeds.”

Tech support for Verizon smartphones

The below is a portion of a press release from Verizon about a new offering: theĀ Verizon Wireless Smartphone Resource Center. One problem with smartphones is that, unless you’re a big tech geek, the devices are hard to figure out. Heck, they’re hard to figure out for the geeks sometimes, too. Hopefully, resources like this will give users access to smartphone tech support that’s better than just a level one support center (which handles simple requests, but often can’t provide phone-specific help).
