Question:
I recently purchased a new PC equipped with Windows Vista. I have my old PC tower only with data files in the hard drive but no monitor, keyboard, etc. I was interested in using a USB flash drive or that Intelli-Mover program to transfer some picture / music files to my new PC. Would it still be possible to transfer this data without my old monitor / keyboard?

Question:
I downloaded the Audacity software as I am trying to record an old audio cassette to wav format. No matter what I try, Audacity only seems to record one channel properly. I’ve tried playing with the edit/preferences tab to change from mono to stereo and back. I’ve also tried changing soundcards but this doesn’t work either. And I am almost certain that my cable from the player to the computer is stereo. I am not technically minded so am wondering if I am missing something basic?

Question:
I used the Noise Reduction function from the Audacity Effects menu to reduce the annoying “hissing” sound when recording from audio cassettes.

Question:
I’ve converted my cassettes to MP3 using Audacity (thank you so much for the advice) but there are a lot of things on the program that it won’t let me access. The ‘effects’ on the drop down menu, such as noise reduction, changing speed etc., won’t highlight/open when I click on them. Nothing highlights. It looks like, since it’s free, the ‘effects’ bonus isn’t included? The same goes for the ff and rewind icons, it won’t do either.

Question:
I recorded a cassette tape, transferred it to computer thru both Audacity and Sound Recorder. I have burned TDK CD-R discs in MP3, WMA and WAV. They only play on my computer (Windows Vista, unfortunately, HP A6300T, Windows Media Player 10).
