Recycling a copy machine in Michigan

Recycling a copy machine? I’m not from that part of the state, so can’t give you very geographically-helpful advice! However, I can offer a few suggestions:
1) Contact the company that sold you the copy machine. They install these things all the time, and therefore should be very familiar with ways to dispose of the old one.
2) eBay. If the shipping costs can be managed, you can sell the copy machine on eBay for at least a small profit (assuming it’s in working condition or repairable). While technically you’re sticking someone else with the responsibility of recycling it later, you’re also extending it’s lifespan while making a little cash.
3) Research locally. A simple Google search for “recycle in bloomfield hills, mi” turns up a lot of results. You may even be able to get someone to come and pick it up for you!
