Problems playing iTunes CDs in a car CD player
Question:
After recording a casette and transfering the album into ITunes, I burn a CD. When I play it back in my car player, I cannot select tracks. If I click the player to advance to the next track, it justs advances the track I am playing. Is this normal?
Answer:
I’d first check to see if this happens in another (non-car) CD player. Does the same problem happen? If not, then you may have an older style of car CD player that isn’t very compatible with the CDs you’ve burned. See more detail here about why some burned CDs won’t play in a car CD player.
However, if the CD problem happens in your second player as well, then there may be a problem with the way you’re recording your CD. In that case, your computer, or iTunes itself, may be at fault. I’d try using a different burner software (instead of iTunes, for example, you can burn music CDs with Windows Media Player).
