Exporing from Audacity for playback in Windows Media Player and iTunes

Question: 

After recording an album with Audacity, how can you transfer it to My Music, or iTunes?  And, also, how can I get into the album I copied into the edit mode to cut out some songs or parts? 

Answer:

You need to Export it in a method that your computer or iTunes can understand. The easiest way to do this with the default Audacity install is to Export your audio to a “WAV” file. After you do so, you can either save it on your computer for playback with Windows Media Player, or import it into iTunes for iTunes and iPod playback.

To export a file from Audacity, after you’ve completed your recording, just use the Audacity menu option for “Export as WAV”, located in the File menu.

To play the WAV file in Windows Media Player, double-click on the file after saving it, and WMP should automatically start playing.

To import the WAV into iTunes, use the iTunes “Add file to library” function, located in the iTunes File menu.

Open it with Audacity. Then use the mouse to drag-and-select the piece of audio you want to cut out. After making your selection, press the “Delete” key, and the audio clip you’ve selected will be deleted.

    After reading your article about editing with Audacity,I thought I could add just one thing.
    You can master and do any other post recording cleanup ie:silence,crossfade etc…Just open your mixdown as a stereo WAV and apply EQ,Compression,Limiting,reverb etc… Erik Burke MA
